Insurance and Money – Seen Through a Woman's Eyes: 16.06.09

 

 

To paraphrase one of our members -many of us have very deep knowledge and expertise in our area of work, but it takes a lot of courage to share that knowledge with a group like the PWG. As many have seen in the past, PWG attendees tend to scrutinize and ask tough questions, so we are all the more grateful that one of our own, Ellen Peitz-Stein was willing to stand in front of a tough group of ladies last Tuesday. Ellen shared her knowledge of 15 years in Insurance and Financial Advising. We learned about the Swiss Insurance and Social Security systems. Next we examined questions more particular to women, such as ‘Who is the beneficiary of our partner's policies?' Ellen presented amusing anecdotes, yet all well backed by research and hard data. We enjoyed her fun presentation style and the seriousness with which she approaches financial matters. In response to member feedback, our Events Team made sure that the first course of our meal was served before the presentation. Less hungry, we could focus on the topics at hand. After Ellen's presentation we had a buffet already waiting outside the meeting room. The new flow of the evening is a result of our member's expressed wish to be able to leave as early (or late) as they choose without having to skip dinner or dessert. We had a great wrap up to our formal events this year and are now looking forward to the fun summer months. At our upcoming summer events we will have the opportunity to taste Sparking Wine and take a Boat Trip on Lake Zürich.
